Ingredients:
- 2 pounds beef chuck roast

Instructions:
- Season the beef: Rub the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, and paprika.
- Brown the beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until caramelized, about 5 minutes. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare the slow cooker: In a 6-quart slow cooker, combine the diced tomatoes, red kidney beans, and taco seasoning. Stir to combine.
