- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a large Dutch oven or heavy pot, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
- Add the chopped onions to the pot and cook until they are softened and lightly browned, about 8 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
