Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef strips (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Cut the beef into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Set aside.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the beef to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  6. Add the broccoli, garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
  7. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet and pour in the soy sauce mixture.
  8. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and coated the beef and broccoli.
  9. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  10. Serve the Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with additional sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.
