Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef strips (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and hoisin sauce. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the broccoli and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until tender but still crisp.
  4. Add the garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce mixture. Stir to combine.
  6. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the beef is coated.
  7. Stir in the sesame oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the beef and broccoli stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles and enjoy!
