Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef (sirloin or ribeye), sliced into thin strips
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked white or brown rice, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set the glaze aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Transfer the beef to a plate and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the broccoli and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until tender but still crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. In a small saucepan, bring the glaze to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until thickened and syrupy.
  5. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the glaze over the beef and broccoli, and stir to combine.
  6. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the glaze has coated the beef and broccoli evenly.
  7. Stir in the green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
  8. Serve the Asian-Glazed Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry over cooked white or brown rice.
