Ingredients:

– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon ground ginger
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 4 large eggs
– 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
– 1 cup sour cream
– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, salt, nutmeg, and cloves until well combined.

3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4. Mix in the pumpkin puree, sour cream, and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.

8. Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, remove the bread from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
