Crispy Roasted Cabbage – A Simple and Savory Flavorful Side Dish
Ingredients:
- 1 medium head of green or purple cabbage, core removed and thinly sliced (about 8 cups)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the sliced cabbage, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey, garlic, and salt and pepper to taste. Toss well until the cabbage is well coated.

Spread the cabbage in an even layer on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Make sure the cabbage isn’t too crowded and has space to crisp up.

Roast the cabbage in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy. Halfway through the cooking time, give the cabbage a gentle toss on the baking sheet to ensure even browning.

Once done, remove the baking sheet from the oven. Sprinkle the roasted cabbage with the chopped parsley and, if using, a pinch of garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes for an extra kick of flavor.
